Request an Appointment with Maia
Hello, my name is Maia, and I’m excited to be a part of Counseling for Hope and Healing where I work with individuals and relationships of all shapes and sizes! I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy at Ohio State University.
Through a blend of Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and contextual therapy, I try to create a supportive therapeutic environment for clients that recognizes your strengths and dignifies your story. I believe that by helping to connect you with your own authentic self (and those of your partners and family members), you will be able to build stronger relationships with yourself and others. With those bonds strengthened, you’ll be empowered to better live according to your values as you navigate the stresses of life.
I work with clients from all backgrounds! I also have a special clinical interest in working with LGBTQ+ clients, those in the poly and kink communities, ADHD and neurodivergent clients, and verbose over-thinkers with a tendency to intellectualize their feelings.
Before returning to my childhood home of Columbus to pursue a new path, I had a long career in tech with stops in the Midwest, upstate New York, and the Pacific Northwest. I love sports, my cats, and watching sports with my cats. On any given day, you can find me among the trees.
Maia is under the work and training supervision of Maureen Scelza, MA, IMFT-S # F.1800075-SUPV
